The Velleman AS518-2 Antistatic Wrist Strap Monitor

Unlike our AS171 wrist strap tester, the AS518-2 is not a one-time or periodic checker for your antistatic wrist strap. This monitor continuously monitors the performance of your ESD wrist strap, ensuring that you don't have too much electric static building up in your body. Audible and visual (Green=good, Red=failed) alerts notify you when any anomalies in the earth-ground path are detected.

 

The AS518-2 has a double monitor and is capable of working with two ESD straps at a time. Works with any wrist strap with a standard banana plug. With this monitor, you ensure you are safe from electrostatic discharge even when working with sensitive equipment.
