DIY Arduino Ethernet Shield Kit

Use your Arduino® Uno™ board and the Velleman KA04 Ethernet Shield to create your own web server or receive data from the worldwide web. The KA04 DIY kit utilizes the Microchip® ENC28J60 Ethernet controller featuring an integrated MAC. It’s designed to be stackable so you can use other shields, too. The KA04 DIY kit uses pins 10 and 2 and also uses the ICSP connector as a serial connection. Sample sketches and library are available for download to get you started.

Velleman also offers this DIY kit in a prebuilt module: VMA04.

  • The MAC controller supports both Unicast, Multicast and Broadcast packets, has a programmable (up to 64-byte) pattern matching feature within a packet at user defined offset and programmable wake-up on multiple packet formats (Magic Packet, Unicast, Multicast, Broadcast, specific packet match or any packet)
